When I was a kid we used to pick this gumamela flower and pull out the stamen then suck the juice. I think the bees don't like us at that time ^_^

Your pretty hibiscus makes me a bit sad. Mine was blooming daily giving me 4 or 5 blooms each time, but a deer or some unwanted visitor ate off ALL the buds night before last. Now I am bringing it in at night, and I am waiting for new buds to start appearing. Genie
