Hibiscus/Monday Mellow Yellows

Yellow and pink hibiscus at my mini garden.

Nothing lasts, nothing is finished, nothing is perfect...
Embrace imperfection and find beauty and authenticity in it.

Gumamela

Hibiscus, Gumamela

We ascribe beauty to that which is simple; which has no superfluous parts; which exactly answers its end; which stands related to all things; which is the mean of many extremes.

Flowers are sent to do God's work in unrevealed paths, and to diffuse influence by channels that we hardly suspect.  ~ Henry Ward Beecher

Red and Pink Hibiscus

Each day, awakening, are we asked  to paint the sky blue?  Need we coax the sun to rise or flowers to bloom?  Need we teach birds to sing, or children to laugh, or lovers to kiss?  No, though we think the world imperfect, it surrounds us each day with its perfections.  We are asked only to appreciate them, and to show appreciation by living in peaceful harmony amidst them.  The Creator does not ask that we create a perfect world; He asks that we celebrate it.  ~ Robert Brault

Hibiscus (Gumamela)

Give and take...
For to the bee, a flower is a fountain of life
and to the flower, a bee is a messenger of love
and to both, bee and flower,
the giving and the receiving is a need and an ecstasy.

- Kahlil Gibran
