Red Gumamela

Gumamela, China Rose, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis Linn
Hibiscus locally known as gumamela is cultivated as an ornamental flower throughout the Philippines.  It is also a primary ingredient in many herbal teas. Gumamela flowers are used as an expectorant in bronchitis, for general coughs, and as a refrigerant drink in fevers.  It is also used on mumps, hematomas, headaches and urinary tract infection.  It is known to treat tumors, also as purgative and laxative. Every year I have some beautiful Hibiscus plants in our garden.
So many colours to choose from.
