SM by the Bay/Signs

I've been busy and was out of town.  I suffered a bad cold when I got home--the weather has been crazy lately.

I was at this park in early July.  It's a row of restaurants and cafes, a giant Ferris Wheel, carnival rides, a zip line, fountains, a park and a long stretch of sea wall facing Manila Bay.  SM by the Bay is a popular place especially when it's hot and humid---it's the best place to enjoy the cooler breezes while having a beer and pizza.  Located at the back of the SM Mall of Asia,  the Port of Manila and the famous Manila Bay sunset can be viewed from this park.

Massage/Signs

Spas and massage parlors have mushroomed all over the place these past couple of years.  And not all are as seedy as one would think.   Getting a massage after a hectic day seems to be the norm nowadays.  From posh to neighborhood spas, massage therapists are in demand.

Mang Cesar is a blind masseur who has a massage cottage in front of the historic Manila Hotel.

Senses & Nerves is a 15-minute walk from my apartment.  I pay Php300 (about 8 dollars) for a 60-minute body massage.  When I'm in the mood for a sauna, jacuzzi and body massage, I drive for 20 minutes and pay Php1,000 (approximately US$25) for an hour's Swedish massage.

Light Rail Transit/Blue Monday & Mellow Yellow Monday

Republiq/Signs

Cafe Republiq at the Newport Mall in Resorts World Manila.
This cafe is facing The Plaza, a Mediterranean-themed indoor piazza naturally lit by a glass skylight.  This complex houses three hotels, a casino, restaurants, cinemas and a theater for live performances, and luxury brands I cannot afford.:p

Eyesores/Signs

A drive-by shot on a Sunday morning---with the ubiquitous king of the road in the middle of an intersection.  Metro Manila is not Metro Manila without the jeepney.  Unsightly cables, a dilapidated building covered with all kinds of signs are perfect examples of an urban eyesore.  I wonder where the free parking was---I hope not on the roof top.:p

Signs: Traffic Advisory

It's great that there was a traffic advisory here---motorists couldn't complain about the traffic jam. I took photos to entertain myself.:p

Midweek Blues: Window cleaners

@ mirandablue

I was having coffee in the pantry one afternoon when I noticed the window cleaners on the next tower.  It was a little breezy and their platforms were swaying.  I had a tingling sensation at the bottom of my feet!
