Signs at the Culion Sanitarium and General Hospital, a former leprosarium under the American Commonwealth of the Philippines. Culion Island is one of the islands in the Calamian group of islands in northern Palawan. It was selected as a leper colony in 1901.

Wow, these are very sobering signs.
I remember growing up thinking that leprosy was only a biblical times disease. This is a good reminder that it was not.
Interesting signs. Unfortunately leprosy is still a major problem in some parts of the world.
A good reminder of the work done to combat this terrible disease that people tend to forget.
