Signs: World Heritage Site

One of the four UNESCO World Heritage Sites Baroque Churches of the Philippines, Nuestra Senora de la Asuncion was built in 1765 in the town of Santa Maria, Ilocos Sur.  The church sits on top of a solitary hill beside the town plaza.

Midweek Blues: Rear Window

Not the Hitchcock kind. This is the rear window of a 16th century church in Santa Maria with a wisp of blue and white curtain.

Blues along the South China Sea.  A small banca, a type of outrigger boat, used by local fishermen in Santa town, Ilocos Sur.
