Thunbergia Mysorensis

Clock Vine, Thunbergia mysorensis, Thunbergia Andreson x Bedd

A stunning flowering vine originating from India.
The bright yellow/maroon flowers were hanging in clusters from a pergola at a friend's garden.

In the garden I tend to drop my thoughts here and there.  To the flowers I whisper the secrets I keep and the hopes I breath.  I know they are there to eavesdrop for the angels. ~ Dodinsky

Wow! These plants are also in Adelaide's Botanic Gardens (in the "hothouse" being home to the Amazonian Lily pond), but I have never seen them in flower before - awesome! Thanks for sharing.

a flower I have never seen. At a first glance I thought it was one of those"parrot" flowers. (Crap, don´t remember the names.) But this one looks very nice.

They make me think of a grandfather clock with it pendulums swinging back and forth. What a gorgeous combination of color in the blooms. This is definitely a memorable flower. Wonderful captures. genie
