Midweek Blues: Boats in Coron Bay

When the tides of life turn against you and the current upsets your boat, don't waste those tears on what might have been, just lie on your back and float.

Midweek Blues: Fontana bridge

@ mirandablue
An afternoon stroll at the park behind Fontana Hotel and Casino. This is one of  the few bridges around the park built over a man-made pond. Fontana is located inside Clark Ecozone, a former American Airbase.

Midweek Blues: Blue canoe

@ mirandablue
For hundreds of years, a banca (or outrigger canoe) is a means of water transport in and around the Philippine archipelago.  This banca is paddled and primarily used for fishing by local fishermen.  Big motorized bancas are used to haul cargo and bring passengers to and from the islands.

Midweek Blues: Cocktail

@ mirandablue
No, it's not battery acid.  It's a cocktail called BinLaden---I have no idea why.  Lifted from the tropical cocktail Blue Hawaii, it's a mixture of rum, pineapple, blue Curacao and vodka, blended with ice. It was sweet and refreshing but the vodka made me dizzy.*LOL*

Before BinLaden, we had Hitler---it's blended strawberry, ice and vodka. Then Hussein, an ice-blended banana with vodka.  Good thing there was no hangover---cheers!

Midweek Blues: Blue truck

@ mirandablue
A blue truck cruising at the SCTEx (Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway). SCTEx is a 94-kilometer four-lane expressway north of Manila.  The south end of this expressway is at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, a former US naval base; it passes through Clark Special Economic Zone in Angeles City, a former US air force base, and the north end is Tarlac City, the hometown of the current president.

Midweek Blues: After the storm

@ mirandablue
A mellow sunset and tranquil skies after a stormy afternoon.  A peaceful end to a day of chaos and tragedy.  Taken along the shores of Miranda.

Midweek Blues: The Last Supper

@ mirandablue
As part of the Holy Week tradition, carriages were paraded around town in the late afternoon of Maundy Thursday and Good Friday (April 21st and 22nd) to commemorate and enact the Passion of Jesus.  This carriage was carrying carved images of Jesus and his apostles depicting The Last Supper.  This was part of the procession of the Roman Catholics on Good Friday at my mother's hometown of Valladolid in Negros Occidental.

Midweek Blues: Window cleaners

@ mirandablue

I was having coffee in the pantry one afternoon when I noticed the window cleaners on the next tower.  It was a little breezy and their platforms were swaying.  I had a tingling sensation at the bottom of my feet!
