Pink Dwarf Poinciana

Caesalpinia pulcherrima (thanks, Andrea, for identifying this flower),
Dwarf Poinciana, Flame Tree

I have posted the red-orange Flame Tree here, and was delighted to see the pink variety at the park last weekend.  Red-orange, yellow and pink flowers adorned the hedges and were swaying gently with the breeze.  These vibrant blooms brightened my day!

Hahaha, no Luna this is not Delonix regia, which is a big tree and have orange flowers. You can see them in the highway to Batangas City. It is locally called caballero, fire tree. This one you posted is Caesalpinia pulcherrima (not sure of spelling though), just a shrub doesn't become a tree. It has two variants here; orange and pink.

Thanks for the info, Andrea. I have seen the fire tree, my brother said it's called Caballero. so this shrub is different...there are yellow flowers, too.

I would have thought it's a fire tree too. This is a first for me and I love its soft pink color.

My entry.
