Signs: In memory of the unborn

Translation:  ...Even though a mother  can forget a child she has borne, I will not forget you, I will not forsake you, your name is engraved on the palm of my hand.

I found this memorial statue beside a Catholic church in Culion Island.  The correct verse, by the way, is Isaiah 49:15-16.:p

Hmmmm. I'm not sure a mother can forget a child she has borne. I need to think about that one. :)

The saddest sign I have read today. And it is happening all over the world. ^_^

A very sombre memorial for the unborn. I can not fathom how a mother can forget her child.

I do not think I would forget a child I had birthed, but the statue is beautiful and so poignant. What a lovely way to pay tribute to the little ones who did not live. Lovely post. genie
