My aunt told me of the local name of this strange-looking flower but I completely forgot what it was! I thought of the human brain and Hannibal Lecter when I first saw this flower. (LOL)

Hope you are having a nice and happy weekend****
It's quiet common here, especially during the Chinese New Year celebrations, lot of nurseries sold them.
Awesome shots! Also Loved the header pic in Orange! Its stunning.
They are faublous looking flowers. I haven't planted any this year, thanks for reminding me to get some underway.
wonderful shots and awesome flowers!
Hmm...now that you say so, it does look like the human brain!;-) The magenta ones are more common here!
They are very unusual flowers and I agree they do look like the brain. I love the beauty of your header shot too.
I have never seen a cockscomb before. Thank you for expanding my world! :)
Very strange flower, it looks like a brain! Beautiful shots!
I have never seen a cockscomb before. So thank´s for your lovely photos!
Great quote. I would say this flower is "extraordinary"!
Enjoyed the quote and this flower does look like a human think-box :) It also reminds me of taking a submarine ride in Bermuda where we saw 'brain coral'. It looked just like this flower and I thought it was so interesting as I do your photographs. Thanks for sharing.
Great pictures, I love the pink one!
the flowers sure look like human brains. they can be easily found here too but i haven't seen the white version.
Gorgeous blooms!!
Today's Flower at my page.
I've always thought these looked like the pictures you see of brains. These are lovely!
Beautiful flowers. Very nice colors.
It looks like human brain; in colorful version...
we have a lot of those flowers here that they are taken for granted sometimes but it's a lovely oneindeed! =)
Beautiful flowers. We have this kind of flower in my hometown in Cebu and same with you, I forgot the name.
It is really odd looking but interesting and spectacular as well.
