Signs at Mambucal

@ mirandablue
Signs at the Mambucal Resort in Negros Occidental.  Mambucal is popular for its cool climate, waterfalls and hot springs, a favorite getaway 30 minutes from Bacolod City.  It is perched 1,200 feet above sea level at the foot of Mount Kanlaon, an active volcano.

Hi, Maria! Yes, there's a strong sulfur odor around this area. They constructed a pool by the sulfur spring and people soak in there. sulfur is good for the skin. there's also steam coming out of the pool. no, i didn't try it (scared the steam would turn into lava! LOL).

thank you, Viola. glad you could drop by.

I know the sulphur springs is good for you (in spite of the smell) and I've heard that mud baths are good for the skin - but a sign for 'boiling mud area' just doesn't appeal!

Is that liitle hole behind the sign the boiling mud area?!
I've been to sulphur springs in NZ and it is wonderful.

Looks like a lovely area! I went into a sulphuric pool once in Thailand, and my silver rings turned black :-) so remember to remove your jewelry before you dip in! Gold is ok though.
